Registration:
    •    Pre-Registration: Secure your race entry and number at ameminicross.com. The deadline is a few hours prior to the event.
    •    Trackside Registration: Accepted until the start of practice on race day with a $10 extra charge per class.

Eligibility:
    •    Director’s Discretion: The Director reserves the right to refuse entry to any rider.
    •    Membership: AME membership is required to race.
    •    Age & Skill Requirements: Riders must be age-appropriate and skilled for the class entered.
    •    Class Minimum: 5 riders are required to make a class. AME reserves the right to combine classes with fewer than 5 riders.
    •    Safety Gear: Riders must have the correct safety gear, including long-sleeve jerseys, helmets, boots, and goggles.
    •    Rider Meeting: Riders must attend the riders’ meeting.
    •    Age Protest: Birth certificate (original certified copy) or passport must be presented within 7 days upon request for age verification.
    •    Parent/Guardian: A parent or guardian must sign all releases and stay at the track for the duration of the event. A valid driver’s license or photo ID is required.
    •    Age Definition: Age is based on January 1st of the current year.

Racing Numbers:
    •    Pre-Registration: Pre-registered riders have race number preference (first come, first serve).
    •    Trackside Registration: Numbers are on a first-come, first-served basis.
    •    Riders must display their number on all three plates.

Class Specifications:
    •    Race Director’s Discretion: The Race Director may advance any rider to a higher class at any time.
    •    Starter Class: For first-time racers. Riders who score 3 wins should move to the beginner class. Exemptions may be made based on age or skill level.
    •    Exemption Request Fee: $25
    •    Beginner Class: For riders with up to 1 year of racing experience. Riders with 3 wins should consider advancing to age-group classes.
    •    Exemptions may be given by the Race Director based on age or skill level.
    •    Junior Class (when offered): For riders with 1 year or or more racing experience. Riders who score 5 wins will move to age-group or open classes.
    •    Exemptions may be given by the Race Director based on age or skill level.

STACYC General Rules:
    •    Start Line: Pushing riders off the start line in all classes (including Stacyc classes) is forbidden. Rider crew must be off the start gates when the 15-second board is raised.
    •    Penalty: Disqualification from the race.
    •    Backup Batteries: Riders should have backup batteries (available for purchase at registration).
    •    Race Format: Depends on the specific event (refer to Stacyc racing menu).
    •    Age Definition: Age is based on January 1st of the current year.
    •    Equipment:
    •    Helmet & Shoes: Required at all times.
    •    Recommended Gear: STACYC footrests, gloves, elbow pads, knee pads, and eye protection.
    •    Shoelaces: Must be tied and kept away from the motor and drive system.
    •    Prohibited Gear: No barefoot riding or sandals.
    •    Clothing: Long-sleeved shirt and long pants are required.
    •    Cycle Sizes: 12-inch cycles are allowed to race in the 16-inch class, but 16-inch cycles cannot race in the 12-inch class.

STACYC Equipment Rules:
    •    Super Stacyc Class:
(when offered )
    High voltage batteries (over 21V), suspension, and engine/frame modifications are permitted.
    •    Recommended for expert racers only !

    •    Stacyc Stock Class:
    •    Stock drivetrain required.
    •    Brushless motors allowed in 16-inch only.
    •    Aftermarket wheel bearings, disk brakes, handlebars, grips, levers, tires, chains, and seats are permitted.
    •    Stacyc Modified Class:
    •    All modifications allowed except batteries over 21V.
    •    Effective 6/1/2023: No LiPo or batteries exceeding 21V in modified classes.

All non-STACYC branded bikes must compete in Mod or Open classes, unless they have been tested and approved for Stock Class racing by AME Race Direction.

Please contact AME officials if you’re unsure about your bike’s eligibility. Approval must be granted prior to competition. Riders found competing in the Stock class without prior approval may be subject to disqualification and/or reclassification.

Mini Cycle Equipment Rules:
    •    50cc Modified Class:
    •    Max age: 9 years old.
    •    Maximum 61 cc
open or mod classes .
    •    Cylinder head, carb, exhaust, and electronics mods permitted.
    •    Must retain standard OEM wheel size.
    •    Standard KTM E2, Honda CRF50, and Suzuki JR50 are eligible for all PW classes.
    •    E-2 Stock Class:
    •    Modified controllers or batteries disqualify the bike for E-2 Stock Class.
    •    Modified E-2 eligible classes :

    •    Penalty: Disqualification for modified controllers or batteries in the E-2 Stock Class.

Mini Cycle Stock/Limited Class Rules:
    •    Stock Components scutinized:  
    •    Stock piston, pipe, silencer, air box, and oil injection (for PW Limited class).
    •    Stock carb and electronics (no modifications).
    •    No altered flywheels or stators.

Rider & Equipment Exemptions:
    •    Smaller displacement bikes may race in larger displacement classes (e.g., 50cc in 65cc, 65cc in 85cc).
    •    Riders may race in a more advanced class for experience or as a second class.
    •    Class Movement: Riders who win a higher class may face advancement review.

Pit Guidelines:
    •    Follow all COVID-19 guidelines.
    •    Respect others (riders, families, officials, flaggers, etc.).
    •    Trackside Behavior: Never cross the track during a race, no foul language, and no crutches on the track.
    •    Trash: Dispose of trash in approved containers.
    •    Equipment: No open-toe shoes or crutches allowed.
    •    Pets: Must be leashed or properly contained.

Drug and Alcohol Policy:
    •    Intoxicants or drugs that affect performance are prohibited.
    •    Performance-Enhancing Drugs: One-year ban for violations.
    •    Riders must submit to blood tests (protest fee: $750).
    •    Refusal results in disqualification.

Track Rules:
    •    Only officially entered riders allowed on the track.
    •    Cutting the Track: Violation results in last gate pick.
    •    Riding in the Wrong Direction: Not allowed.
    •    Repairs: Only allowed in the pit area.
    •    Re-Entry: Riders must re-enter the track safely.
    •    Endangerment: Endangering others will lead to disqualification.
    •    Communication Systems: Two-way helmet communication systems permitted during practice/racing.

Starting Line:
    •    Rider must be with their bike at the start.
    •    Crew Restrictions: Only one rider and one mechanic allowed in staging.
    •    Gate Prep: Prep tools allowed within 10 feet of the gate.
    •    Bike Issues: Bikes with mechanical problems before the start are ineligible to compete.

Flags:
    •    Checkered Flag: Race complete.
    •    White Flag: One lap remaining.
    •    Yellow Flag: Caution – no passing.
    •    Red Flag: Race stopped.
    •    Black Flag: Disqualification – report to the Race Director.

Race Format:
    •    Practice Requirement: Riders must attend their designated practice to be eligible for racing.
    •    Scoring & Points:
    •    1st: 25 points
    •    2nd: 20 points
    •    3rd: 15 points
    •    4th: 10 points
    •    5th: 5 points
    •    Tiebreakers: Based on class wins, with the final tiebreaker being the best finish at the final round.
   •    Racers must complete 75% of a series race to be eligible for the championship affective June 28 2025
   •      Only one grand prize will be awarded per family household


Disqualification:
    •    Falsifying age, ability, or name.
    •    Offering bribes.
    •    Engaging in unfair practices or dangerous riding.
    •    Verbal/physical altercations with officials or others.
    •    Refusal to submit to mechanical inspection.

Suspension up to one year :

This includes families and crew of riders :

•Fighting or aggressive behavior towards other racers families crew staff or promoters

• Verbal attacks towards other racers families crew staff or promoters

• social media attacks  towards other racers families crew staff or promoters

racers families crew staff or affiliate’s who are found to be under influence of alcohol or drugs track side .

•any act deemed detrimental to the sport and or to ame minicross .

Protests:
    •    Submission: All protests must be in writing and submitted within 10 minutes of race finish.

Rider must be in the same class as rider or machine being protested .
    •    Protest Fees:
    •    Starter/Beginner Eligibility: $100
    •    Stacyc Sprocket Protest: $25
    •    Age Protest: $25
    •    Piston Size Protest: $100
    •    Winning Party: Receives 50% of the protest fee.
    •    Payment: Fees payable by cash only.
